BRAND STORY

Lunor has an important place in world literature as a German brand preferred by world-famous names. The word Lunor is inspired by the words Lunette D'or, which means Golden Glasses in French.
They preferred this name because they started their adventures by making the first handmade golden glasses.

At the same time, they chose the name LUNOR because they approached each eyewear they produce as if they were producing golden eyeglasses, by applying a comprehensive 200-step process.

OUR PHILOSOPYProduction is performed without using
any mass production parts.

The first owner of the company, Gernoth Linder, is a world-renowned collector and a master craftsman in handmade eyeglasses. The philosophy he established while founding the company is still being adopted today. The company believes that while old glasses were very sound and durable, the mass production glasses made by compromising materials and workmanship over time, for the sake of profitability are not like the old ones. In this sense, while producing all eyewear, LUNOR produces completely handmade and without using any mass production parts. (including even screws)
Centered in the Premium segment with the quality of LUNOR acetate, taking part in the literature of the world optics sector, and it's perfect handwork, LUNOR continues its production with the brands handmade Germany and handmade Japan. As a German brand, LUNOR's entire production discipline is based on the German school.

The company does not use mass production parts therefore, all parts and apparatus of each model are produced specially and with at least 2 years of R&D work. In this sense, the company, which also makes its own raw materials, produces its own acetates. The acetates made using natural cellulose acetate material contain over 80% natural cotton and wood fibers. Each natural cellulose acetate material has a cotton content in it, just like the clothes we wear, however, the concept of Lunor acetate is born exactly from this point.
These glasses reflect a quality that can be felt for years thanks to the acetate quality and cotton density that can be seen rarely in the world. In addition, after 2-3 months of use, the frame takes the shape of the face, just like a shoe, together with the body temperature of the person. The reason for this is the intensive use of cotton and wood fibers.
Lunor has a manifesto called the golden rules. According to this manifesto, making handmade gold eyeglasses requires a delicate balance of craftsmanship and a process. Lunor glasses, just like gold glasses, are produced by applying a 200-stage uncompromising method for days by treating all products as gold glasses.
It is desired that the front case weight of an acetate eyeglasses and the weight of the two arms should be made equally on a precision scale. This is a very important detail for the aerodynamic structure. Thanks to this perfect balance, problems such as falling from the face and sliding forward, which can be experienced in acetate glasses, are minimized. In order not to disturb this aerodynamic structure, hinges consisting of spring systems are not preferred. By making all hinge systems with double rivets, both the aerodynamic structure is preserved and eyeglasses that defy years and have durability that can be transferred from generation to generation are produced.
Thanks to the double riveted hinge systems made of German steel, which has become the symbol of Lunor, it is ensured that the acetate does not touch each other during the unfolding and folding of the glasses arms. Because the constant contact of two acetates is a detail that reduces the life of the glasses, along with wear and tear over the years, and is something that Lunor would never prefer.
Lunor has a philosophy that pays close attention to details and believes that quality can be hidden in details. The handles of each acetate Lunor glasses have markings similar to the C mark. These markings are a small detail that contributes to the facial posture together with friction and are perfectly designed for user comfort.

A5 SERIES

The collection, with fine lines and where relatively smaller gauges are preferred which is aimed to fit the face better with curved hinge systems, is called the A5 series.

A6 SERIES

Especially the frame and arm parts of this series, which is also called sports series, are made with thick acetate and its grip on the face is ensured by curving from the sides. Especially the functionality of the C marks on the handles comes to the fore much more.

A11 SERIES

Developed for those who like to use thin acetate and large lenses (glass part), this series offers special color options, which we call powder color, only for this series.

A12 SERIES

In this series, which was completely prepared using retro lines, curved arms were preferred in order to bring small front cases together with larger faces.

M5 SERIES

In this series, which is designed from German steel and has vintage lines, both V-bridge and nosepiece pads are used together. It also has handle systems that allow it to be preferred as near vision glasses.

M9 SERIES

This series, which is made of pure titanium, is produced in Japan and the rate of titanium alloy is kept at a high level, and due to the quality of the material, it has an eye-catching shine that continues even after years.

M10 SERIES

In this series, which is produced in Japan, after the titanium on the front case is colored, the color is fixed with heat and this minimizes the color or coating removal problems that may occur on the front case overtime and a rare handcraft method is used in this series.

M11 SERIES

This series, which blends acetate and titanium in an incredibly light way, takes its place in the collection as an indicator of perfection.

COMBI IIA SERIES
